Hello Goodbye!

Actually, this post has been in my draft for years. I was having an idea about how life surprises me since I started to earn my living. However, it was never finished because either I kept postponing on writing it or kept changing what to write. Ha! Well, you might want to know why I am making this kind of post (or not! whatever). Because I know nothing about life although I try to plan ahead. I am a kind of person who'd like to have the life goes as planned. However, in fact, life sometimes drifts away from the planning. Yeah, it sometimes throws us lemons in the bizarre way.  As a person who lack experiences, I am yet exposed to the world. A real one. All I have done in my life was following the rules, being a good kid, getting good score, and caring others (?). So, once life is not going according to my schedule, my plan, my wish, I.....................am surprised (not brave enough to say that I am shock!). And do you want to know how I handle surprises? What do you think the best a man can get? Living a super rich life which he owns luxurious houses, expensive cars, and a dream job everybody wants? Before holiday started, I let myself wander in the school library. " It would be good if I could find a decent book to fill my holiday ", I thought at the moment. My eyes stopped at the sight of brown little book entitled 'tuesdays with Morrie' by Mitch Albom. I've heard about Mitch Albom before but haven't read any of his book. So, I thought that would be my first Mitch Albom book. I did not expect it to be beautifully-grabbed-my-heart's-attention. It's truly beautifully written book. Hyperbolic, you think? Maybe. Maybe not. I think it's well written. Albom might write for only fourteen Tuesdays he had been spending time with his coach, Morrie, but I feel like it's a lifetime inspirational book on how we perceive life (or death). Why (even I don't get it) I still want to read it again? And why you VALIANT BUDI can make me such in amazed of your twisted writings? Why? Besides the I-don't-get-it-thing, I loooooooooove how VALIANT BUDI unify words by words and make them into a sentence that awaken my imaginary circumstances. I loooooooooove how he makes them into a perfect paragraph that makes me had a goosebumps, yet still curious about how the story will end. Even though, in the end I still don't get it if Brama, or Aulia, or even Dimas were .. okay STOP! I don't wanna be a spoiler by saying such a thing about this book. As promised, in this post I'll tell you our 2nd and 3rd day in KL. :) The second day went as good as the first day. We took monorail to go KL Sentral to gain some informations about how to go to Penang Island (for the boys were going there on January 2nd). Its cost was only RM2.10 from Bukit Bintang to KL Sentral. KL Sentral is Malaysia's largest transit hub where there's integrated rail transportation centre and bus stations.  It is also a direct link to Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Putrajaya (the Federal Government Administrative Centre), Cyberjaya and key areas within the Multimedia Super Corridor. Then, we walked the street to see Brickfields as known as Little India where we can eat cheap Vegetarian Indian Food. We found Gandhi's Vegetarian Restaurant which served vegetarian meals in Indian taste. It's served in Prasmanan style. You know, we can take any food we want in any quantity. It cost no more than RM10 included drinks. Cheap, eh? ;) ...

I am praising Mike Gayle for having this such a funny but also delightful masterpiece of writing. I found this book on the internet when Ninit Yunita and her husband, Aditya Mulya , were having a clearance sale of their old books. I was tempted to have it not only because of its cover but because of its review on Amazon as well. I knew that I felt in love with this book once I read the first page. It took my full attention to read it as fast as I could. Seemed like I couldn't wait for tomorrow to make it to the end page. This book is surely about love, romantic relationship, commitment, job, and trust. I know that love will be everyday hot issue to be discussed. And this book gives another perspective of everyday love-life. What I like most about this book is the male main character, Dave Harding. He's such an adorable husband alive.
