Santa Is Not Coming To School

Image
On Tuesday, our school celebrated Christmas event by having some fun things to do. We exchanged gifts, had potluck, took photos on a photo booth, and watched Frosty The Snowman and Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer. Knowing that Tuesday was the last day of school before Christmas holiday made me kinda sad. I would not be able to meet my special kids for almost a month. I knew I would have missed them all during the holiday. I would miss their laughter, their cutie smile, their chubby cheek, even their fretful behavior. I think it's okay. I'm gonna see them next year and that would be a long-awaited moment. For now, let's have a merry joyful holidaaaaaaaaaaay!!!

Little Heaven

Living just by yourself is not easy. It will never be. It's even harder when you start to live by your own in your teenage period. But, I've passed through this period triumphantly. *a proud woman* I started to live by myself when I was 15. Exactly when I entered high school. At that time, I was accepted in the public school located in South Jakarta. The school was so far from my parent's house which was in Tangerang. My mom and I tried to go to school from home. We went at 5 am yet we arrived at 7.30 am using public transportation. I was like whaaaaaaaaatttt??? From that time, my mom decided to put me in a boarding house near school. Hearing their decision shocked me. I thought they were kidding me. How could they be so mean to me? How could they put a-15-year-old-girl into a boarding house? Didn't they want their only daughter to be at home everyday? Was it because I was so rebel during my middle school years? Many questions popped up in my mind. Neither me nor my

Padma Hotel Bandung

Last weekend I went to Bandung with my friends. We stayed in Hotel Padma Bandung. Its located is in Ranca Bentang, Ciumbeluit. Thanks to my friend who got a nice deal voucher to stay in here. She let us to come and join her spending the night there. I was so happy! I'm a kind of backpacker. I usually sleep in the hostels or cheap hotels. I don't mind with the uncomfortable bed and unfacilitated small room. So, when there was a chance to try the comfortable hotel with the elegant guestrooms, and a spectacular hill view, I certainly said YES! I recommended you to stay for a night or two in Padma Hotel to feel a serene paradise under spectacular mountain view. The service they serve were magnificent. Although it's a bit pricey, but it's worth the price. :) Photos taken from Safitri Kurniasari 's album

Halloween Is Coming To School

Image
From the title, I think you can guess what this post is about. Uh huh! It's about the Halloween Party we had at school two days ago. We did not do "a trick or treat". We did "a treat or be treated". Much more fun for the kids! :)

Matsuri Festival

Image
Last Sunday I went to Jak-Japan Matsuri Festival at Monas, Central Jakarta, with a friend of mine from school. We are not a fan of Manga, nor Japanese Style. We just wanna spend our Sunday evening eating and doing fun thing. And yes, we did eat much (read: Takoyaki, Okonomiyaki, Dorayaki, and Japanese Flavoured Ice Cream). Too bad, we didn't try Ramen, Udon, and Curry Rice since our stomach were full. Hihi.. There were lots of activities we could try. Yet, we're too lazy too try anything. So, we just saw what was there and wandered around. There were so much of people. We even had to walk slowly and careful to not bumping in to others. Overall, I enjoyed eating more. :)

First Backpacker Ever!

Image
To celebrate my hard work of finishing my study in three and a half year, I decided to do a short backpacker trip to internationally known island, Bali (and Lombok). With some savings I've made after 3 months working and a lil bit sponsor I got from my uncle, I packed my things and leave. Here is my story of being a nice-lucky-backpacker for three days, last year. ;) Day 1 Arrived at Ngurah Rai International Airport right before lunch time. I met my cousin in Nusa Dua Beach Hotel. There I got free lunch. Hihi. While waiting for the rain to stop, I planned my trip for what I was gonna do there. She helped me a lot by giving suggestions what beaches should I visit, what food should I eat, and where should I stay. With her, I was such a lucky backpacker ever. She let me stay in her dorm. She helped me by renting a motorcycle for 48 hours for me. And she showed me where I should eat. She was like the coolest cousin ever! Time flew fast for we arranged so many things. It was almost
